Based in Wokingham, Berkshire, Bearwood Brewing is an independent craft brewery and taproom dedicated to brewing exceptional beers that span a wide spectrum of styles — from hoppy IPAs and luxurious stouts to vibrant, fruity sours and everything in between. The name “Bearwood” was born organically during early meetings at a potential site near Bearwood Lakes, and it quickly became the perfect fit for the brewery’s identity and roots in the local area.

Head Brewer John Willatts brings a wealth of experience to the brewhouse, having honed his skills at Binghams Brewery — where he brewed the CAMRA Supreme Champion Beer in 2016 — as well as Ascot Brewing Company and Disruption Is Brewing, where he helped create SIBA’s 2023 Best Cask Pale. He’s joined by fellow brewer Max Baylis from The Outhouse Brewery, forming a talented and passionate team. Behind the scenes, Peter Rhodes and Christian Cummins oversee quality control and ensure that Bearwood Brewing remains an inclusive, welcoming space for both staff and beer lovers alike.
